How Reach

Reach our structure is very simple. We are 18 kilometers from the exit Ventimiglia IM or 20 km from the exit of Bordighera.

– From the Genoa-Ventimiglia Ventimiglia output:
Take the exit direction of Ventimiglia Bordighera
Pass through the town of Ventimiglia (sconsigliatissimo on Friday because the market!! Preferable the exit at Bordighera)
Continue to C. I know Genoa
When you reach the roundabout area Nervia turn towards the mountain to Camporosso-Dolceacqua

A 700 m. turn left – direction Rocchetta Nervina
Follow the main road for 3.5 km

WARNING: satellite navigation systems, the exit of Ventimiglia, will indicate a very winding road, narrow and with large slopes. We strongly recommend you follow our directions and pass through the town of Ventimiglia and then continue north towards Camporosso – Dolceacqua.

– From the Genoa-Ventimiglia Bordighera output:

Pass through the town of Bordighera, Vallecrosia Camporosso Sea

– From the Nice-Ventimiglia Ventimiglia output:
At the exit take the direction of Ventimiglia Bordighera
Pass through the town of Ventimiglia (sconsigliatissimo on Friday because the market!! Preferable exit at Bordighera)
Continue to C. I know Genoa

By train:
Get off at the station of Ventimiglia or Bordighera.
After, as the route from the two stations is approximately 15 km long, you should proceed by taxi or bus. Times you will find them at the station or visit the Riviera Transport below in the “bus”.

By bus:
The lines that serve our area are marked with the words “Ventimiglia – Camporosso – Dolceacqua – Rocchetta Nervina”. Approximately Rocchetta is served with a summer and winter time, by a courier service three times a day. One in the morning at about 7.00/7.30 am, a lunchtime around the 12.30/13.00 pm and one in the evening at approximately 18.30/19.00 pm

Once in Rocchetta

The Osteria and the Rooms of the La Pecora Nera are right in the center of Rocchetta Nervina. To reach us you have to park the car (we recommend the municipal parking lot in front of the Town hall, large and very visible) and entering in the alleyways of Rocchetta. The roads to get to us are many. Once downloaded you will find that your luggage along the streets of Rocchetta walk will be a pleasure!

Freed from the luggage, we recommend:

I got off my car (car park), cross the through street in front of the communal gardens and take the narrow road that runs alongside them. The road ahead is long a hundred meters as the crow flies and you are there, do not worry!
You will shortly reach a staircase that you get to the bottom, cross the bridge with the chapel and continue in the pedestrian square “Sutra Tu”, which is paved with porphyry. Here we are, we’re almost there! Turn into the alley and then descending down the barrel vault, turn immediately left and voila … You found us!

If instead you want to be romantic, we suggest you always leave the car in town and heading upstream towards the great square Cian. On fine summer evenings it is nice to walk calmly in the square to the bottom of the foot of the ancient Roman bridge humpback. Now you have two choices: either go down just to the right along the road from the brown color that will make you reach the bridge with the chapel (recommended for those with strollers in tow saw that there are no stairs to climb), or cross the bridge and then down in the gardens on the right which will skirt the boundaries of the country on a fascinating walk suspended wooden … Here we like to call “The Walk of Love”! After the bridge you will join with the chapel.

Another option is for those who feel a tourist. Past the bridge on the back of a donkey, you should proceed uphill along the paved walkway will allow you to visit the town of Rocchetta. All made of beautiful old historic homes and lime-stone towers, and full of flowers and greenery. The road winds through narrow alleyways and small squares nestled between the houses. Glue the square of the past, where the Church of the Patron Saint Stephen, begin the descent … for your luck! (Scherziamo. .. the path is very smooth and the gap minimum) At the end of the stairs you will find yourself in the cobbled pedestrian square “Sutra tu”. The street is always down through the alley with the barrel vault. Take the first left and you are here!
